Guarantee & Returns

At OceanLifeGifts, every item is custom-made using our trusted print-on-demand partner. Because each product is created to order, our guarantee and return policies are designed to protect you as a customer while also reflecting the custom nature of production.


1) Satisfaction Guarantee

We stand by the quality of our products. Each order goes through a quality check before shipping. If your item arrives defective, incorrect, or damaged in transit, we’ll make it right.

Covered under our guarantee:

  • Manufacturing defects (misprints, engraving errors, stitching flaws, etc.)

  • Shipping damage (cracked, bent, broken, etc.)

  • Wrong item, size, or personalization (if it differs from what was ordered)

Not covered:

  • Slight variations in color, grain, or placement (normal with custom manufacturing).

  • Errors in personalization caused by incorrect details entered by the customer.

  • General wear and tear, misuse, or accidental damage after delivery.


2) Return Eligibility

Because our products are made-to-order, returns are limited:

  • Custom & Personalized Items: Non-returnable unless defective, damaged, or incorrect.

  • Standard (non-personalized) items: Eligible for return within 30 days of delivery, in new and unused condition.

  • Digital products/downloads: Final sale, non-returnable.


3) Refunds & Replacements

  • Refunds: If approved, refunds are issued to the original payment method. Processing time: 5–10 business days after approval.

  • Replacements: If an item is defective or incorrect, we’ll replace it at no cost to you.

  • Store Credit: May be offered as an alternative in certain cases.


4) Return Process

To start a return or replacement request:

  1. Contact us at [support email] within 7 days of delivery.

  2. Provide your order number and a brief description of the issue.

  3. For defective, damaged, or incorrect items, include clear photos of:

    • The product

    • The packaging

    • The shipping label (legible)

We’ll review your case and provide instructions for next steps. Unauthorized returns sent without approval will not be accepted.


5) Cancellations & Order Changes

  • Orders may be cancelled or changed within 12 hours of purchase.

  • After production begins, cancellations and edits (including personalization) are no longer possible.


6) Return Shipping Costs

  • Defective, damaged, or incorrect items: We cover the return or replacement shipping.

  • Voluntary returns (buyer’s remorse, wrong size ordered, etc.): Customer pays return shipping, unless otherwise specified.

  • Shipping costs are non-refundable, except in cases where we made an error.


7) Final Sale & Non-Returnable Items

The following cannot be returned or refunded (unless damaged/defective):

  • Personalized or custom-made products

  • Digital downloads

  • Clearance or “Final Sale” items

  • Gift cards


8) Exchanges

We currently do not offer direct item-for-item exchanges. If you’d like a different product, size, or color, please request a return (if eligible) and place a new order.


9) Gift Returns

If you received an item as a gift and need to return it, we can issue a store credit to you or a refund to the original purchaser (depending on circumstances).
